The goals of the client and family form the foundation of the intervention plan. NDT- trained therapists work in all practice settings and believe in a team approach.NDT-trained therapists work closely with the individual, their family, care providers, physicians, and other health care professionals, to develop and manage a comprehensive child-centered program. NDT is an intervention approach that has stood the test of time! Recent advances in the
field of neurobiology, the emergence of new theories of motor control, brain recovery, and a greater understanding of the development and refinement of movement across the life span has enhanced, enriched,and supported the NDT approach.
In this pediatric certification course, participants are lead by a team of well-qualified instructors including the lead instructor, Suzanne Davis Bombria, PT, C/NDT; plus Kate Bain, OT, C/NDT and Monica Wojcik, SLP, C/NDT. Kate and Monica will each represent their disciplines and will be present for those weeks of specialization. Additional qualified professionals will also be assisting in the course. Instruction includes lectures, videos, demonstrations, movement labs and patient treatment practicums. More than half the course is practical in nature
