Bequest Planning with UCP of Central Florida

Including UCP of Central Florida in your estate plans is a meaningful way to contribute to our mission and ensure that we continue empowering children and families for years to come. A bequest allows you to leave a lasting legacy while complementing your other estate planning goals.

Whether you choose to leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or a contingent gift, your thoughtful planning will help advance our work in Central Florida’s communities. Here’s how you can include UCP of Central Florida in your will or revocable trust.

Types of Bequests

Specific Bequest

A specific bequest allows you to leave a designated dollar amount or asset to UCP of Central Florida. Examples of language you can use:

“I bequeath DOLLAR AMOUNT ($XX) to UCP of Central Florida, a non-profit organization located in Orlando, Florida.”

“I bequeath ABC STOCK AMOUNT to UCP of Central Florida, a non-profit organization located in Orlando, Florida.”

Residuary Bequest

A residuary bequest designates a percentage of the remaining balance of your estate to UCP of Central Florida, after taxes and specific bequests have been paid. Example:

“I bequeath PERCENTAGE AMOUNT (XX%) of the residue of my estate to UCP of Central Florida, a non-profit organization located in Orlando, Florida.”

Contingent Bequest

A contingent bequest ensures that your gift is directed to UCP of Central Florida if your primary beneficiary is unable to inherit. Example:

“If my (NAMED FAMILY MEMBER) does not survive me or is unable to inherit this bequest, I direct that it be paid to UCP of Central Florida, a non-profit organization located in Orlando, Florida.”

Why Consider a Bequest?

  • Flexibility: You retain control of your assets during your lifetime.

  • Impact: Your gift directly supports our programs and services for children and families.

  • Legacy: Leave a meaningful contribution to a mission you believe in.

By including UCP of Central Florida in your estate plans, you can create a brighter future for the children and families we serve. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for considering this thoughtful way to support our mission!
