FAMILY SUPPORT
SERVICES
We provide individualized support services for families navigating some of life’s biggest challenges. We believe that social and emotional health is vital in a child’s development.
1
Emotional Health is Key
We helps families navigate the many questions and challenges that come with raising a child. We understand that uncertainty can be overwhelming for a family processing their child's disability diagnosis or learning to manage the pressure of being a mother at a young age. At UCP of Central Florida, we calm their fears and provide answers to their questions.

Family Support & Training Meetings
We offers free support meetings and training sessions to help navigate raising a child. Some topics from the past include potty training, encouraging language, and appropriate toy selection. Contact your UCP campus to learn more about upcoming events and training sessions.
2
Advocacy, Information, & Referrals
Our team members are passionate about supporting families and advocating for their children. Each UCP campus has a Family Services Case Manager that guides families on getting necessary resources.
5
BETA Teen Parent Group Counseling
One of the most significant and transformative periods in life is the teenage years. This stage becomes more overwhelming for young mothers that spend this period transitioning into both adulthood and motherhood. Our group counseling program allows UCP BETA students to share their journey and receive guidance on managing this transition. Our counselors also provide trauma counseling when applicable.
3
Counseling & Social Skills Groups
Occasionally children need additional support to meet their needs. UCP provides individual counseling, group counseling, and social skill development groups for students and therapy clients in need. Good mental health is known to play a critical role in both school and life success.

Family Fun Nights and Events
Families often find that opportunities to interact with families that are facing similar challenges are limited. UCP aims to change that. Our campuses host "Family Fun Nights" throughout the school year that offer a chance to mix and mingle with their community. Family Fun Nights are open to everyone and often include light food, games, and activities for the children (ex: shows, reading, music, arts. etc.).
